In the space of just 5.5 days, Chennai Express has emerged as Shahrukh Khan's biggest box-office success in India. His previous releases such as Jab Tak Hai Jaan (120.65 crores), Ra One (115 crores) and Don 2 (106 crores), had all crossed the 100 crore net mark. Now Chennai Express has already breached these movies by netting 124.45 crores at the end of yesterday's business. This movie is also director Rohit Shetty's biggest box-office grosser.

With the release of Akshay Kumar - Sonakshi Sinha - Imran Khan's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara (OUATIMD) tomorrow, the competition for Chennai Express is expected to mount and this clash would be a really interesting one.

Can the Express manage to stay clear of the tough competition and still soldier on? With Ranbir's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani sitting on top in 2013, with a 190 crores net, there is still some distance for the Express to cover before it can capture this year's box-office throne.
