Maattrraan has been a much discussed and much debated movie for the past month or so. The movie, though falling short of the huge expectations, is better than the run-of-the-mill commercial flicks that are a dime a dozen.
The movie has reached the break-even stage and has become a safe prospect.
The conjoined twins are slowly fading from public memory after more than 30 days at the box-office.

KV Anand’s highly ambitious movie about conjoined twins touches upon diverse topics ranging from baby designing, genetic science to performance enhancing drugs. Though the second half could have been better, Maattrraan is a worthy release.
Maattrraan has made money for all parties concerned and has recovered its costs, one believes.

After a phenomenal opening, Maattrraan is slowly showing signs of giving way to other releases while weekends are still registering good collections.

The opening has been good for this Suriya starrer and with the new trimmed version, it is expected to do better.
Initial reviews were moderately mix-bag and now the second half has been crisped by 20 minutes. So the prospects of this movie being a hit are much higher.
