In a recent chat, Suriya has opened up on Maattrraan and said that the movie is not just about conjoined twins. There is also a father-son relationship angle in the movie in addition to lots of romance and some good messages for the society as well. He doesn't mind the fact that too much attention is being paid to the conjoined twins’ angle thanks to the comparison to the recently released Charulatha. He brushes this off saying many Hollywood films and even the Hindi movie 'Tees Maar Khan' had a pair of conjoined twins.
On the Gautham movie, Thuppariyum Anandan, Suriya said that the script hasn't been finalized. He also said that his Singam 2 is progressing briskly thanks to Hari's meticulous planning and pre-production.
