Maattrraan opened across the globe on Friday, October 12th and the initial reviews have been mixed. In Salem, a prominent theater literally collapsed on the release day.
Several people sitting inside the theater were injured as a portion of the ceiling of the theater buckled during the show. The show had to be halted for a substantial length of time as police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. The injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital before the show resumed.
