Just prior to the release of Maattrraan, its producer AGS Entertainments have filed a case with the High court, against possible piracy threats through internet, Video CDs and DVDs. To be accurate, the production house has filed a suit against various internet service providers, who might indulge in illegally uploading and downloading the movie.
Now, according to the judgment passed by Justice Chandru, AGS has the right to block only those websites which illegally broadcast their film. In doing so, the production house must also inform the ISPs.
Maattrraan is releasing today amidst high expectations. With Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, this film has KV Anand’s direction, cinematography by Soundar Rajan and music by Harris Jayaraj.
