Veteran cinematographer Sriram handles the camera for Shankar's I and what he saw on the sets has surprised him no end.

"He is a hardworking actor. He doesn't let the image barriers of a star hinder his personality. He only sees himself as an actor and his stature is nowhere to be seen on the sets," Sriram told a tabloid about his experience working with him. "He constantly pushes boundaries to test his skills and I think that quality has taken him places and brought him a lot of success," he further added.
