Vaali rested in peace
Jul 20, 2013After the final rites, lyricist Vaali was cremated yesterday at the Besant Nagar Crematorium in Chennai. The entire film industry including Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Ajith, Siva Kumar, director Shankar, Vairamuthu and Madan Karky attended the final rites.
The veteran was admitted at the Apollo hospitals, Chennai following bad health. On the 18th, the lyricist breathed his last.
The veteran started his journey as a lyricist in the year 1958 and until last June, he holds the record for the most number of songs written by an Indian.
Nature might have taken his body, but his works will always remain in the hearts of people.
