After the moderate success of his Manam Kothi Paravai, director Ezhil is next making a village based romantic comedy, with Vimal and Bindu Madhavi in the lead, by the name Desingu Raja. Vimal plays a jobless MGR fanatic while Bindu plays a Rajini fanatic in the movie. The love that blossoms between them ruffles quite a few feathers and brings them trouble. How they handle it is the crux of the movie.

Ezhil says that people would feel that the money that they would spend on the movie would be totally worth it. He says that he doesn’t want to ride on big stars but rather work with a small team and still earn handsome profits.

Bindu Madhavi would be playing a jovial comic role for the first time in Desingu Raja.
