Varalakshmi Sarathkumar or Varu as she’s fondly called in the industry is making her foray in Telugu now, it is being said. The young lass who made a sparkling debut opposite to Simbu in Poda Podi, and then went on to partake in Sundar C’s Madha Gaja Raja has reportedly been offered the lead role in the Telugu remake of Manam Kothi Paravai.

The makers of the Telugu version have reportedly made some notable changes to the script, giving more emphasis to the heroine’s character. They were also on the lookout for a new face with the ability to pull of a good performance and have supposedly zeroed in on Varu after being impressed with her show in Poda Podi.
