Vishwaroopam, Kamal Haasan's 95 crore mammoth project has been banned by the Tamil Nadu government for two weeks after Muslim groups protested against the portrayal of Muslims in the film. The Madras High Court refused to overrule the ban yesterday, preferring to let a judge review  the movie over the weekend.

Celebs and fans alike have expressed their outrage over the shoddy treatment meted to one of the greatest artistes this country has seen. Reviews have come in from Malaysia where the film has been released and fans have been raving about the film, using social networking and micro - blogging forums to spread the word and show their support for Kamal and the film.

In yet another blow, Vishwaroopam was pulled out of theatres in Hyderabad as well after the morning screening.
