MGR, Rajini's co-star dies

A former co-star of the late MGR and Superstar Rajini who is of ‘huge stature’ tragically passed away recently. The jumbo elephant Rathi shared screen space with the two stalwarts of Tamil cinema in films like Nalla Neram and Annai Oru Aalaiyam.

Rathi was supposedly 81 years old and birthed 13 elephants that have been shared with various temples across South India. Rathi was last seen, part of the local Pongal celebrations that she partook with great joy, the locals say.
