To celebrate Union Minister of Finance, P. Chidambaram’s 67th birthday, an event was held yesterday when a book consisting of various compiled articles written about the Minister was released. DMK supremo M. Karunanidhi released the book while Chidambaram’s mother Lakshmi Ammal received the book. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan also participated in this event and in his speech, Rajini spoke about his intentions in joining politics.

He said that if he decided to enter politics, it would be a ‘Thani Vazhi’ for him. The Superstar’s philosophy stays true to his famous Padayappa punch. During his speech he also recollected his small participation in the 1996 elections when he supported DMK and Congress indirectly. The friendship which was fostered then, between the Minister and Rajini still holds good and even the Minister keeps asking the star about his political entry like a normal Rajini fan would.

Rajini fans would again be hoping for some good news regarding his political avatar after this recent speech.
