Popular Cineplex Sathyam Cinemas have been steadily expanding their presence in and around Chennai by acquiring and upgrading existing theatres. It is believed that Sathyam Cinemas is all set to launch 11 swanky new screens in Velachery.

The high-end luxury multiplex will be called LUXE and will be located inside the sprawling Phoenix Mall, near Gurunanak College, Velachery, Chennai. Behindwoods had also earlier reported that the mall will house an IMAX screen. As of now there are reports suggesting that the screens will be launched on Januray 25^th, the release date of Kamal’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam. Sources within Sathyam have said that the launch date of the theatre is yet to be confirmed.

If it is indeed the case that the launch takes place on Jan 25^th then Sathyam’s LUXE will kick-start with a bang with its first release being Vishwaroopam.
