A couple of days back Behindwoods was the first to report on Vishwaroopam’s postponement. We had also indicated the possible rescheduled release date to be on January 25^th. Earlier this morning, information from Kamal Haasan’s camp has reiterated the same.

Vishwaroopam is all set to enjoy a massive release in nearly 500 screens on January 25^th. The details on the DTH telecast though is still unclear at the moment, but Kamal did indicate that he was contemplating the idea of having the DTH screening on the same day as the theatre release. An official confirmation is awaited on this feature.

The only other film that has announced its release on the same day is VImal's Sillunu Oru Sandhippu.

As we had also reported earlier, Vishwaroopam’s new release date is likely to push back films like Kadal, Paradesi and Aadhi Bhagavan to a later date in the month of Feburary.
