The release of R Kannan’s Settai was speculated to be during Pongal, but the producers have announced that they might release it only during the summer. The film is almost done and the post-production is happening simultaneously.

With many anticipated films like, Kadal, David, Paradesi and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga releasing in February, the producers feel the short month might not be a good time to release Settai. Being a comedy film, the makers are expecting more youths and teens to watch the film. But exams in March might deprive the youngsters from catching the film. Hence, UTV Motion Pictures have decided to wait for another 90 days and release it during the summer.
