An interesting tidbit about Gautham Menon has come to our attention through a recent television interview. Gautham Menon, who was the special guest of that show opened up a little more than expected. When he received mixed reviews from the media for his recently released Neethane En Ponvasantham, which he considers his best work till date, the director had supposedly sent a message to Mani Ratnam, saying that he was disappointed with the feedback.

Mani Ratnam, in reply, sent him a message asking him why should he worry about the bad reviews when he believes in the sincereity of his own work. The Kadal director had also asked Gautham to move on to his next agenda.
