Neethane En Ponvasantham is the last movie

Pallavi Theater in Bangalore shut its operations in effect from yesterday. In its place, a multispecialty hospital of the same name would be set up. This was one of the important cinema halls in Bangalore with good A/C and sound systems. Gautham Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham was the last movie to be screened in this landmark arena which had a capacity of 1200.

Ever since its inception 36 years back, Tamil movies were predominantly screened in this theater. Till now more than 400 movies have been screened in this theater. Kannada superstar Rajkumar inaugurated this theater way back on March 6, 1976.
