Kamal’s model is new to the world - Event Story

Kamal Haasan’s new model of releasing his mega budget film, Vishwaroopam in DTH is getting a variety of response. The film will hit 390 screens and still there are many other theater owners, who are protesting against the release of the film.

Kamal held a press meet along with the officials of Airtel DTH, who are one among the five DTH providers who will telecast the film. It is also claimed that this is the first time in the history of world cinema, a film will hit the DTH prior to the theater release.

Kamal Haasan clarified on few issues and explained how things will work in the model. Excerpts:

“The telecast will be unrecordable and screening it in a public place is punishable. Airtel, Sun Direct, Big Tv, Videocon and Dish TV have come forward to broadcast the film.

Vishwaroopam will be screened in 390 screens and I will not force any other theater owners to release my film in their theater. However, my film will definitely hit the screen on schedule,” said Kamal.

Vishwaroopam will hit the TVs on 10^th January at 9 pm.
