Kamal Haasan in a recent TV show revealed the secret behind those beautiful Kathak moves he has made in Vishwaroopam. The legendary actor from Paramakudi has been an admirer of Briju Maharaj, a legendary Kathak dancer, and when the latter saw the dance Kamal has performed in Vishwaroopam, Master Briju supposedly praised Kamal for performing the art impeccably without taking any formal lessons of the art.

But Kamal quickly flattered the Kathak exponent saying that he has been learning the art just by watching Briju’s performances for years and the fact that he still has his thumb doesn’t prove that Kamal is not Ekalavya. He also thanked Sashwati Sen, another leading Kathak exponent, who trained him for a couple of months.
