Among the millions of eager fans, who are awaiting the release of Vishwaroopam, there is one VVIP. the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa, has supposedly shown interest in watching the film and the rumour has it that the CM has requested Kamal Haasan for a special show.

Meanwhile, the film will release in DTH on the 10^th of January and on the next day in theaters. The film will be screened in approximately 400 screens and the rift between Kamal Haasan and few other theater owners is still on and the latter have supposedly expressed that they will take a final call on releasing Vishwaroopam, only a couple of day before the schedule.
