Iniya to do a Jyothika and Anushka

Iniya has had a superb start to this year. She won three awards for her amazing performances in Vaagai Sooda Vaa and Ammavin Kaipesi and has been roped in for a women centric film, Masani that will be directed by Padmarajan.

It is touted that the title character, played by Iniya will be a very powerful one, like the ones Anushka and Jyothika played in Arundathi and Chandramukhi respectively.

She was to play a character Mallangenaru Mangatha in Bharathiraja’s Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. But, due to reasons unknown, the character was taken off from the script. According to Iniya, Masani has shades of the character, Mallangenaru Mangatha.
