Nayanthara's role as a hero - 'Nee Enge En Anbe': Trailer Launch

We, earlier, reported that the Tamil remake of the acclaimed Hindi movie, Kahaani is titled as ‘Nee Enge En Anbe’. Nayanthara, after back-to-back super hits – Arrambam and Raja Rani – dons the role played by Vidya Balan, who received rave reviews from both the masses and critics alike for her performance as a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband. About her role, Nayanthara said, “Essaying the title role in this film has been a once in a life time opportunity. Working with Sekhar and bringing his vision of the character to life has been a fulfilling experience.  It’s very rare for an actress to be the hero of the film which is an opportunity that I have got with Nee Enge En anbe.”
 

The movie, also, stars Vaibhav Reddy and Pasupathy in pivotal roles. The trailer of the movie was launched on February 14^th amidst press people.
 

Speaking at the event, the director of the movie, Sekhar Kammula said, “Adapting a screenplay from the original is always a challenge as there are inevitable comparisons. This movie has been shot with an expansive canvas and was originally intended only for Tamil audiences. The treatment of the movie has been nothing short of grand. Our effort throughout the making of Nee Enge En anbe has been to make a distinctive, original thriller for Tamil audience, as well as creating a whole new experience for a market who appreciated the original movie. I hope that we have achieved our goal.”
 

The movie is produced by debutant producers, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, in association with Endemol India’s film arm Eyedentity Motion Pictures and Moving Pictures. Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ move to enter the southern film industry can be considered a carefully thought strategic move to tap the fast growing regional market. And, they seem to be sure of striking the Box Office with their maiden venture.
