“My films are not for everyone”

Producer CV Kumar, the head of Thirukumaran Entertainment, has made a strong brand for himself and his ticket to fame being Attakathi, Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum and Pizza 2 - Villa. His sharp eyes for the right script and incredible talents have made him one of the pillars of the current-gen cinema.   
 

During a quick chat with the correspondent of Behindwoods, he shared his perception towards making films. He asserts, “Every film of ours has a target audience. It is practically impossible to satisfy all classes of audience and we understand that. My films are not for everyone. Our target audience are mostly the educated youths. We do not make the regular mass masalas. We aim at making cult movies and we allocate budgets keeping our audience in mind. If a film performs better than we had anticipated, all praise to God.”

He also mentions that Pizza was the movie that surprised him and his team the most with its stunning performance.
 

Currently, CV Kumar is associated with Mundasupatti and the Tamil remake of Lucia. He will also do a film with Nalan Kumarasamy and Karthik Subbaraj in the coming months.
