BHOOLOHAM SONGS REVIEW

A Tupakeys rap performance over a metronomic drone beat which has a few witty lines. Without any aspirations to grow the track closes pretty much the way it starts.

The lyrics do its best to stir up an awakening of sorts against the impact of advertising and capitalism. Musically Srikanth Deva tries to back it up with a dramatic score while Haricharan performs as demanded.

Now we enter into what is essentially Srikanth Deva’s area of expertise and the free flowing rhythm section indicates the composer in his comfort zone. The raw vocals of Mukesh compliment the nature of the song and make it mildly invigorating.

This reggae styled tune featuring Chinmayi’s heavily processed vocals does offer its moments of amusement, but the song itself could have been livelier.

Exploiting his domain well, Srikanth Deva pulls of a pathos gaana in its most bare state. Right from the lyric to the unrefined vocal performance by Fefsi Doss, this track is well executed.

The album closer features dated orchestration and a simple hook. The lyrics seem to reflect a unique situation for which this track may deem effective.
