Samuthirakani’s next is about a shepherd

After Nimirnthu Nil, featuring Jayam Ravi and Amala Paul in the lead, director Samuthirakani plans to base his next script on Su Thamizh Selvi’s Keedhari. The story is about a shepherd. He also hopes to act, as well as direct the film.
 

The director had already made a mark as an actor with films such as Subramaniapuram, Eesan and Saattai. He easily slips in and out of the two responsibilities. When he got a two day break from his directorial duties for Nimirnthu Nil, he took up an encounter cop character in Nee Ellam Nalla Varuva Daa, directed by his friend, Nagendran.
 

On Nimirnthu Nil, he said that even though Jayam Ravi plays a double role, both the roles would be kind and lovable, not the clichéd good guy - bad guy characters.
