A Biriyani break for Karthi and Ranjith

Actor Karthi began his next project with Ranjith of ‘Attakathi’ fame, not so long ago and the team has completed 60% of the shooting already. We are also informed that the greater part of the movie is shot in North Chennai area, including Vyasarpadi, Perambur and Ennore.
 

There are five songs in the film, we hear. Two have been shot already and there’s also an interesting “illusion montage” song and a death gaana. All songs are being choreographed by choreographer Satish.
 

Meanwhile, Karthi and team have shot for 45 days and have planned to take a break now, with Biriyani release around the corner. The shoot will resume on 24^th December in North Chennai.
 

Catherine Tresa plays the female lead in the movie and the director is stunned by her commitment. She came ten days prior to the beginning of the schedule and learnt her Tamil lines.  
 

Tentatively titled Kaali, the movie is being produced by Studio Green Productions.
