Sasikumar and Anurag Kashyap to work together!

The screenplay of Sasikumar’s popular film Subramaniapuram was translated into English by a private group of people and was recently published as a book. Key members of the film such as Sasikumar himself, Samuthirakani and composer James Vasanthan were present at the book launch along with the likes of Gautham Menon who is reportedly a huge fan of the film and said that the film was like a Martin Scorsese movie set in Madurai.

One of the hot topics raised during the launch was the Bollywood version of Subramaniapuram to which Sasikumar clarified saying that he had held back the remake rights of the film since he plans to direct the Hindi remake himself. He also said that popular director, Anurag Kashyap had expressed his desire to be part of the project and therefore Sasikumar will be using Anurag Kashyap’s services as the script writer for the project. He hinted that there has been some ground work going on for the same.
