Earlier reports emerged stating that the maiden schedule of the new Vikram-Bala project would begin around the 20th of May with a song sequence but now the shoot has apparently been called off. With Vikram still fully engrossed in Shankar’s ‘I’, both the actor and director Bala seem to have amicably agreed to put their project on hold for now.

Bala is learnt to be looking at Sasikumar or Atharva as other options. But it’s still unclear if it will be for the same project earlier proposed to Vikram or a new project all together. Word is also suggesting that Sasikumar is likely to be the frontrunner in this two-horse race for the lead. The actor-director recently met with Bala to seek his goodwill and blessings on the occasion of Sundarapandian completing 100 days at the box office and in the past too has expressed his readiness to work with Bala.
