Why did team Kochadaiyaan drop the plan?

It was earlier announced that team Kochadaiyaan, led by director Soundarya R Ashwin would release its trailer at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. But the plan was dropped at the last moment.
The latest reports suggest that the release of the trailer is being rescheduled to a later date. The team wanted the trailer to be at its best before presenting. But it is supposedly taking more time than expected to make the best cuts. And moreover, Soundarya recently tweeted that she and her team are working on “more surprises”.
It is also speculated that a video on the making of Kochadaiyaan with the song crooned by Rajinikanth himself will release very soon.
