''I dedicate this Award to my Godfather''

The 61^st National Awards were announced last evening and Tamil cinema has quite a few winners to its credit.

Lyricist Na Muthukumar who was awarded the best lyricist for Ananda Yaazhai from Thanga Meengal is naturally happy and thanks all the crew members of the film and has dedicated the award to his dad Nagaraj and godfather, the late Balu Mahendra. Muthukumar says, “Winning the award has increased my responsibility to deliver more quality songs to Tamil people”.

Baby Sadhana who won the best child artist award for Thanga Meengal in her message thanks everyone associated with the film and adds, “My special thanks to Ram appa, JSK uncle, Gautham Menon uncle, Muthukumar uncle, Arbindu Sara uncle and Yuvan uncle”.

Producer Sasikumar had funded the late veteran Balu Mahendra’s Thalaimuraigal which won the best film on National Integration. He thanks everyone for this award and also the government for bestowing this honor.
