''It looks like Lingaa has been shot for three years''

We are all aware that Lingaa is hitting the screens on the 12th of December. The music of the film was released recently much to the excitement of the fans. Speaking about the movie, AR Rahman, the music director says.

"My wishes to Rajini sir, Shankar sir and Vairamuthu sir. I did not expect the movie would be shot so fast.

When Ravikumar came to me for Lingaa's music, my schedule was full. But this combination has always been great. Muthu and Padayappa have been superhits.

I wanted to work with the same combination again. I did not know how I was going to do it. But I accepted to do it.

The whole experience has been going smooth so far. We have finished the songs. The background score is happening at the moment. We are all very excited about it.

The movie has an epic quality. The story is created according to Rajinikanth's character. We would see a younger Rajinikanth and the superstar as a King in a particular period in the film.

I am a big Rajini fan, so when I did the background score for the movie, I really enjoyed it.

Padayappa and Muthu were shot at a rapid pace according to the taste of the audience. Although this movie is shot in five to six months, it looks like a project that has been shot for three years. We were all surprised on how they managed to finish the movie so fast."
