We’ve seen director Venkat Prabhu praise Ajith on many occasions. The director who made movies like, Chennai 600028, Goa and Saroja, associated with Ajith in Mankatha. In a recent interview he was asked about why he praised Ajith a lot when there are many other actors in the industry. This was what he had to say.
 

“I am actually a great fan of Super star. I like Ajith too. SPB Charan is closer to Ajith than I am. They studied in school together. I was a fan of Thala before I even made a movie with him. No actor came forward to work with a director who made a movie as local as Chennai 28. Ajith came forward and readily offered to work with me without even listening to the line of the story.
 

Ajith is also a great friend to me. We acted together in Ji. Similarly Vijay, Suriya, Simbu and Vishal are also my friends. They haven’t had a problem when I praised Ajith. If somebody else has a problem, what can I do about it?”
