The male equivalent of Sari, Veshti is what you call the ethnic wear for men. Other than the ‘ethnic day’ of corporate offices, it has become a rarity to spot a Veshti-clad bloke on the streets of our cities – unless you are sighting a politician. Ajith’s Veeram seems to buck the trend from what is evident with the first look posters. Will Ajith be able to bring back the Veshti fad? While cud-chewing on that question, here are a few unforgettable Veshti wielding performances.

AJITH - VEERAM

Ajith did a double role in Attagasam – one of them a dada with the high-rising Veshti above his knees and the unbuttoned shirt to reveal his gold ornaments and body hair. Now with Veeram though, it appears he is in good spirits and is performing more of a Nattamai type role.
