The last time we got in touch with director Nesan he maintained that the delay of Thalaivaa’s release was not affecting his film Jilla. He went on to say that Vijay too was fully committed to his role and performance in this film and the issue was not disrupting the progress of his film.

Now Nesan reveals that Mohanlal’s role in the film will be highly powerful and impactful one. Mohanlal has said that he agreed to do the part because of Vijay and because of the significance of his character, and the Malayalam superstar seems to have got a role that will be etched in people’s minds long after the film’s release. Jilla is shaping up fast and promises to be completely different offering compared to Thalaivaa.
