Some of the leading theaters which were set to screen Thalaivaa in Chennai City, have suddenly stopped their advance bookings, as they have allegedly received threats from anti-social elements regarding possible violence, if Thalaivaa were screened in their properties.

There is an uncertainty over the release of the movie and by today evening, a clear picture is expected to emerge. The producers are meeting with important members of the trade and their negotiations are expected to pave the way for the film's smooth release.

In such a scenario, heavy police presence at the theaters screening Thalaivaa, is expected in order to avoid any untoward happenings.
