Following reports that UTV is keen on remaking Barfi! in Tamil featuring a young star, Behindwoods ran a poll on its facebook page allowing the fans to nominate their choice for the lead. It was a close race between the in-demand Jiiva and the talented STR. Ultimately the Young Superstar pipped Jiiva to lead the poll with over 40% of the votes.
It seems Simbu is indeed a big fan of the film himself and claims to have watched it twice already. With regard to whether he would be interested to do the role, the young man says that it is still early days to make a comment on it.
