TAMIL MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

If you liked Pizza and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom, particularly because of Vijay Sethupathi's uninhibited acting, there is every reason why you might like Soodhu Kavvum. This is Vijay's first film in the year and it is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy who emerged successful in the reality show Naalaiya Iyakkunar. He was also involved in the Vijay TV show Kana Kaanum Kaalangal.

Soodhu Kavvum has Vijay Sethupathy, Sancitha Shetty, M.S. Bhasker, Ramesh, Bobby, Ashok, Karunakaran and Radha Ravi in significant roles. A blend of comedy and crime, the movie revolves around 4 unemployed youngsters and the travails of their lives. Produced by CV Kumar, whose earlier movies Pizza and Attakathi were successes, the movie's sold to Studio Green that owns the distribution rights.

Vijay Sethupathy plays a 40 year old man in the movie and assures that the comedy will be enjoyed by the audience. Santhosh Narayanan is the composer who claims to have experimented with sounds in the tracks. The songs are slowly gaining popularity and after the movie's release, they are likely to surge in the charts.

Releasing this May 1st, Soodhu Kavvum has the potential to become a sleeper hit much like Pizza if it is unpretentious in its presentation and is filled with entertaining elements. Let us hope both of which are plenty in the movie.
