Rowthiram director Gokul’s upcoming film Idharkudhane Aasaipattai Balakumara which stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead has an exciting addition to the cast in the form of the promising new face Ashwin K who has been signed up as the second lead of the film.

The movie is believed to be a comedy with Vijay Sethupathi’s character’s name being ‘Sumar Moonji Kumar’ and Ashwin K could well be ‘Bala’, and thereby throwing more light on the film’s curious title. The film also stars Attakathi Nandita and Subramaniapuram Swathi as the leading ladies and Parotta Soori playing an integral character. Music will be by Siddarth Vipin.

After working with Gautam Menon in Nadunisi Naigal and A.R. Murugadoss in 7am Arivu, Ashwin K gained healthy prominence through Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha where he played the role of S.I Ganesh. Subsequently he bagged the lead hero role in a film titled ‘Megha’ which is being currently filmed under the watchful eyes of debutant director Karthik Rishi. ‘Megha’ will have music by the music maestro Isaignani Ilayaraja.
