EXPECTATION METER

Tarun Gopi started out as a director and even has a couple of movies to his direction credit - the Vishal starrer Thimiru and the Silambarasan starrer Kaalai. Both commercial entertainers and while Thimiru was noted for its commercial success, Kaalai could not do the magic. But it was the 2009 Maayandi Kudumbathar that must have sparked his interest in acting.

Tarun Gopi has been pursuing acting ever since and Pechiyakka Marumagan is his solo acting debut. He will be seen as a lead in the movie with Priyanka, Urvashi and Susan George playing significant roles alongside him.

Pechiyakka Marumagan is directed by VP Balakumar and produced by S Saravanan. Sabesh Murali tunes to Vairamuthu's lyrics. Having been in production for sometime now, the movie is releasing this weekend amid summer releases that are already squeezing the existing business out of the vacation crowd.
