Probably the most successful of Tamil movies in 2013, Singam 2 has more than just recovered its investment and is a declared blockbuster.

What next, Singam 3?

A delicious mix of action and entertainment, the Singam franchise has proved successful, the second time around too. Suriya, Anushka and Hansika decorate the screens.

Collections have been phenomenal and the movie might pull through for another couple of weeks too.

Hansika has had two consecutive hits – TVSK and Singam 2. But all eyes are on her Vaalu.

Singam franchise’s second venture, Singam 2 has action, entertainment, romance and everything, a family audience looks for. And the reception seems to be just the way the earlier Singam received.

Despite a few reduced shows, Singam is still experiencing near-full occupancies. 

A massive hit that garnered more than its investment in less than a few weeks of its release, Singam 2 is probably one of the biggest hits of the year.

Suriya, Anushka and Hansika star in the family - action entertainer directed by Hari. Suriya returns with the Duraisingam franchise while the regulars remain, with some exceptions.

Singam 2 has more or less sustained its shows since its release and is likely to be handed the superhit status in another week or so.

Just as she hit the bull’s eye with the elder brother’s Singam 2, Hansika will hope to repeat the success with her next release Biriyani.

Nothing much has changed with Duraisingam compared to the first part and here he takes up a secret mission to bring the guilty to book. Suriya puts in a firecracker performance with an ensemble star cast and the inclusion of Santhanam and Hansika adds more charm to the movie.

Singam 2 is running successfully with no noticeable reduction in the shows since its release. With Dhanush’s Maryan releasing next weekend, Singam might find some tough competition at the box office.

Is Singam 2 going to be refurbished and sent to Hindi since the first part, the Ajay Devgn starrer, was a huge success? One wonders.

The sequel with Suriya, Anushka, Hansika and Santhanam in prominent roles picks up from where Singam ended. Suriya plays the tough cop yet again carrying the film on his shoulders almost entirely and reaching the finishing line.

After probably Vishwaroopam, the movie received overwhelmingly grand opening with full shows reported in all the release centers. After a somewhat slow start initially on Friday, the movie picked up in full force and the weekend was jam packed everywhere.

The consensus seems to be that Suriya cements his position as a mass hero with Singam 2 and the angry cop image is tailor made for him.
