There was some doubt over the release date of Hari's Singam 2. June 28 and July 5 were the two dates doing the rounds but now we have come to know that the movie would hit screens across the world on July 5, along with its Telugu dubbed version, Yamudu 2.

The music of Singam 2, scored by Devi Sri Prasad, was released 10 days back and the response from fans has been varied. But with the presence of a huge star cast and with the brand value associated with Singam, the chances of Singam 2 becoming a blockbuster seem high.

Suriya was recently busy promoting the movie across the South in cities like Kochi, Hyderabad and also in Chennai. He would obviously be pinning high hopes on Singam 2.
