Director of Pizza, Karthik Subbaraj, has announced that he will start filming his second film from today. The film is titled Jigarthanda and is a Madurai based subject. The first schedule commences today and will involve the lead pair Siddarth and Lakshmi Menon. The project will also see familiar faces from the camp such as Simhaa, Karuna and others.

The film will be produced by Five Star Films and will supposedly feature Siddarth in a different look in his 20th film as an actor. Santhosh Narayanan will once again contribute in the music department for Karthik Subbaraj. The director seems to be attached to cuisines for title inspirations either out of sentiment or out of sheer love for food or maybe the famous Madurai dessert is an integral part of the story!
