KADHAI THIRAIKKADHAI VASANAM IYAKKAM SONGS REVIEW

The album begins with a rock rhythm driven track with a faint touch of folk and a storytelling kind of approach. Alphons Joseph does a neat job with his arrangements as well as the singing.

Composer Sharreth turns proceedings towards the melodious side with a beautiful duet sung well by G.V.Prakash and Saindhavi, with Na. Muthukumar dropping cheeky references about the singers themselves. Based on the auspicious Hindustani Raag Desh, the track is beautifully laden with guitar, strings and the occasional carnatic violin touches.

An upbeat jazzy track with a distinct Arabic flavor and dance beats arrives next in the voice of Ramya NSK. The bold lyrics are set to a foot tapping rhythm, typical of the track’s composer – Vijay Antony. 

The album gains its pace with a racy track, in classic Thaman style. Featuring an army of singers, Haricharan, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi, Nakul and Shanthanu, performing with gusto the song certainly packs a punch in terms of emotion.

The melody arrives again in the finale with a spruced up mix of groovy arrangements and rhythms. However, it is the original version which finds itself more appealing with its neat presentation.
