''MY FAVOURITES ARE TRISHA AND NAZRIYA''

Megha Akash who will be debuting in Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Oru Pakka Kadhai interacts with behindwoods in a small chat. The film has Kalidas Jayaram as Megha’s co-star.  

Tell us about yourself
I am from Chennai and have done my schooling at Lady Andal. I graduated from Women's Christian College with a degree in B.Sc Visual Communication.

How did Oru Pakka Kadhai happen?
My friend Keerthana Parthiban referred my name to Balaji sir after which I had a basic screen test and I was selected

How was it to work with Balaji Tharaneetharan?
I consider myself very lucky to have worked with a director like Balaji sir. He is very sweet and an amazing teacher. He made us feel so comfortable on the sets and helped us understand our character very well.

Did you have any anxiety to have Kalidas Jayaram as your co-star as he is Jayaram’s son?
It was fun working with Kalidas. I knew him in college itself. He is very sweet and simple. No, I did not feel anxious as he was very helpful and really fun at the sets. We got along really well.

Which was your first shot for the film?
The first shot in the film was a very intense one, but we had rehearsed it many times before. But still we were very nervous.

How familiar are you with Tamil? Did you dub for Oru Pakka Kadhai?
I was born and raised in Chennai and so I am pretty good in Tamil. Yes, I did my own dubbing for Oru Pakka Kadhai.

On your next film with Suseenthiran?
I was called by Suseenthiran sir after they saw me in my teaser for OPK. I am very excited to be working with him and with such a big banner like Red Giant. I am very happy. We are yet to begin shooting.  

What are your other projects?
My other project is with Thirrupathy Brothers with director Rajshekar sir. That's it as of now as I am waiting for my release. 

In Tamil film industry, who are your favorites? Who do you wish to act with?
My favorites would be Trisha and Nazriya. Well, I would love to act Vijay sir, Ajith sir, Dhanush sir and many directors like Gautham Menon sir, Mani Ratnam sir and many more. And of course with Balaji sir again and with Kalidas Jayaram.
