Ace director Mani Ratnam’s last film OK Kanmani was much appreciated and the director has moved on to his next project.

There have been widespread reports that the Roja director will be teaming up with Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan for his next with Shruti Haasan as the lady lead.

While Shruti’s camp is yet to confirm the same although admitting that the actress was approached by the maker, our sources confirm that Karthi is on board and that he would be starting work for this project from December this year. It has to be recalled that Karthi began his film career assisting the director in Aayudha Ezhuthu. Karthi is currently in Europe in connection with his bilingual with Nagarjuna.
