Rest in peace Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachander

Tamil Cinema’s favourite and the legendary director K Balachander passed away today. He was 84.
 

The legend was admitted in Kavery Hospital a few days back following age related issues. He breathed his last in the hospital today.
 

Having identified and mentored some of the best talents of Tamil industry including Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Prakashraj and Vivek, and having also made more than 100 movies and a number of television serials, K Balachander is one of the most respected names in Indian Film Industry.
 

It is indeed a huge loss, not just for those close to him, but also to the vast populace of film enthusiasts across the nation.
