Ilayaraja and Priya Mani’s Murai Mama in ‘Oru Oorla’

Director KS Vasantha Kumar of ‘Machi’ fame is ready with his next project, ‘Oru Oorla’. The film is about a village and the variety of characters living there. The movie stars Venkatesh, who played the Murai Mama of Priya Mani in Paruthiveeran and Neha Patil in the lead roles. Indrajit, Annapoorni, Naan Kadavul Murali, Sundar, Siva, Iyyappan Kannan, and many more newcomers have played important roles in the film.
 

Isaignani Ilayaraja will be scoring five songs in the film and the director is elated to have the genius on his team. “He watched the entire film and agreed to score music for it. I’m now positive that this film will be a big success,” said the director.  
      

The team had also shot in massive sets and the director is confident that the audience would be stunned by the magnificence of the sets. “We also shot for an action sequence for 18 days in a 250 acre barren land, where even finding water is difficult. It was a very hard, but the sequence has come out well,” explained the director.
 

The film has cinematography by Arul Vincent and DS Vasan, former assistants of PC Sreeram and Vijay Milton respectively. Velusamy has produced the film and Vasantha Kumar, apart from directing the film, has worked on the story, screenplay and dialogues.
