Sasi Kumar’s Kuttipuli had a few old Tamil songs in it. Director Muthaiah had also thought that it would be suitable to use Ilayaraja’s Ponnoviyam Kandenamma from the classic Rajini starrer, Kazhugu in the film.
 

There were reports suggesting that this hadn’t gone down very well with the Isaignani and that the musical genius was pretty upset about his whole song being used in the film, without his permission.

But our sources close to Kuttipuli have clarified that nothing of that sort has happened. In fact, the team supposedly bought the required rights from the respective holders to use the songs in the film.
