Biriyani first 3 days' Tamil Nadu box-office collection report

Venkat Prabhu's latest entertainer, Biriyani starring Karthi, Hansika, Mandy, Premgi and a number of other established actors has taken a very good opening across the state of Tamil Nadu. The film was released by Studio Green in around 280 to 300 screens and is estimated to have earned around 6 crores, according to trade sources.

 

The film, by and large, is being enjoyed for its typical Venkat Prabhu style comedy. Yuvan's songs and the Karthi-Premgi chemistry, not to mention the steaming Mandy portions, are among the pulling factors for Biriyani.

 

Despite competition from the likes of Dhoom 3, Endrendrum Punnagai and last week's Ivan Vera Mathiri, Biriyani is holding court and is expected to end the year for Venkat Prabhu, Karthi and producers Studio Green on a high note.
