What's the status of the Dhanush - Alia Bhatt pairing?
Jun 23, 2013 We were the first to report that Alia Bhatt is being approached for the lead role in the KV Anand - Dhanush film. The director himself has replied to these reports and has agreed that Alia was indeed approached for the role and that she was even mighty impressed by the script and her role. But she isn't in a position to accept this film as bulk dates are required, which Alia won't be able to allot.
The shoots of this film will start on August 17 and Dhanush has agreed to allot 6 months from his datebook for the film. Alia meanwhile is free only for the first few months post which she has other commitments.Anand is looking at few other alternatives now for the female lead's role and he is first looking to finalize his crew. Official announcements about this project would be out soon.
